Legendary cartoon voice actors perform Star Wars!

Bender, Fry, Stimpy, Batman, Jake from Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls, Pinky & The Brain and more bring you A New Hope!

Ever wanted to see your favorite 90s cartoon actors bring Star Wars to life? I’ll bet you never thought to ask, but I can’t imagine the answer isn’t a resounding “YESSSSSH!” Well, that’s exactly what happened on March 31st, back at the Emerald City Comicon, where a veritable Justice League of animation voice actors assembled to perform George Lucas’ enduring masterpiece. Please enjoy Billy West, Tara Strong, Maurice LaMarche, John DiMaggio, Kevin Conroy, Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen performing the parts of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, C-3PO, Solo, Leia and the rest using celebrity impression and the voices of cartoon characters they’ve made icons.

Thanks to everyone who brought this to our attention over the weekend. Needless to say, it heavily inspired this week’s Laser Time!

  1. XDD
    this was so weird.
    but hilarious.
especially if you don’t look at it
but just listen and imagine the characters doing the lines.

  2. Tara strong is also twilight sparkle from MLP: FIM, Harley Quinn from Arkham City, lead character in lollipop chainsaw, and Timmy turner.

  3. No, seriously, this is the best thing that has ever happened. Ever. Seriously, you guys. It’s like some crazy dream. Or a wish a genie granted me.

  4. These actors are still the voices of most cartoons, not just the ones from the 90’s. Anyone interested in this should definitely check out Rob Paulsen’s podcast, he’s had all of these guys on, and they all have cool stories about voice acting for tons of shows you’ve heard, and making way less money for coming up with characters than the celebrities make for just using their own voices.

  5. Too bad there wasn’t more Batman characters. Kevin Conroy had barely any lines, as did Tara’s Harley. And no Joker from John DiMaggio?! Oh well, it was still hilarious, and awesome!

  6. This is like the voice actor Justice League (I would have said Avengers, but Kevin Conroy is there). Billy West, of course, is Superman. The man has been involved in almost everything I’ve ever loved, including Howard Stern.
