Avengers Blu-ray Trailer – Out September 25th!

The Avengers Blu-ray trailer, release date, rumored bonus features, and what’s inside the ultra-mega 10-DISC Collector’s Set…

As far as I could see, the new trailer doesn’t contain all that much as far as new footage and features go, but here’s hoping that the oft-mentioned Avengers extended cut, featuring 35 minutes of cut material makes it into the package.

So far the rumored special features on the 4-Disc 3D Blu-ray are the following:

*Alternate Opening – Maria Hill Interrogation
*Extended Scene – Loki & Barton Strategize
*Steve Rogers – Man Out of Time
*Nick Fury & World Security Council
*Extended Viaduct Fight – Raw Footage
*Fury & Hill Discuss the World Security Council
*Extended Scene – Banner and Security Guard
*Alternate Ending – Maria Hill Interrogation
*A Visual Journey
*Assembling the Ultimate Team

These all seem likely enough, but as for what additional supplemental goodies will be included on the colossal, Limited Edition Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase-1 – Avengers Aseembled 10-disc Blu-ray set (containing all the Marvel films leading up to Avengers), all they’ve detailed thus far is an exclusive bonus disc entitled “The Phase One Archives.”

Marvel will be pulling the curtain pack on the Collector’s case and complete content details on July 15th, and it’s already taking everything within my power not to pre-order this thing right goddamned now. Here’s a quick breakdown of four of the FIVE Avengers DVDs (the barely-worth-mentioning fifth version contains the same contents of the two-disc Blu-ray, although packeaged in a standard DVD case… is anybody really asking for that?!)

From left to right it goes:
1. The Avengers 4-Disc 3D Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD comco pack
2. The Avenvers 2-Disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack
3. The Avengers DVD (rumored to contain significantly fewer bonus features)
4. Limited Edition Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase-1 – Avengers Aseembled 10-disc Blu-ray set

It’s important to note that Amazon is selling the 3D 4-disc version for less than the non-3D 2-disc version, which is bizarre and makes it worth picking up even if you don’t own a 3D TV. Hope that helps you out with your Avengers DVD needs, shopping through Laser Time would be much appreciated!

  1. Don’t ya just love it when the package with the most awesome stuff is the one you have no way of playing? Guess I’m gonna have to settle for the DVD…

  2. May actually be a dvd worth buying for once
Nowadays the special features have been nonexistent or you have to pay extra(the fuck)
Hopefully this wont be too much.

  3. I’ll be getting the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack unless the 3D one is actually cheaper than I’ll get that (it would be dumb not to).

  4. I’m totally with you on the “barely able to stop myself from pre-ordering the mega-deluxe 10-disc edition” train of thought. I want to see the thing in detail before I commit, but holy crap. Do want. I knew there was a reason that I held off on buying any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies except Iron Man 1 up to this point!

  5. Well I gave in and pre-ordered the crazy huge box set. Enjoy the 25 cents of kickback you guys get for that. Keep up the good work!
