Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 360 | PS3
If nothing else, this game holds the most spontaneously created new word of 2013. I’ve only just opened Revengance, but I’m already digging the Platinum/Kojima approach to ludicrous espionage. Although, I gotta say, if this thing gets better scores than DmC, there is absolutely no justice in the world.
Also available in a low, low priced Limited Edition Bundle for $150!
Silent Hill’s made quite a name for itself borrowing from Resident Evil. This year, it found box office success by taking its subtitle from an RE 3DS game released several months prior, and damned if the formula didn’t pay off once again!
Beasts of the Southern Wild go fuck yourself! Did I get that right? Whatever, that’s basically what Ben Affleck’s latest said to the world when it stepped on stage and accepted the Oscar for Best Picture. Laser Time has given Argo it’s fair share of shit, but it really is a tremendous movie. Best movie of 2013, though? C’mon, we all know that title goes to Avengers.
I used to want to play Crysis 3, but then I took an arrow to the Nanosuit! AHAHAHHAHAH-Okay, look: I’ve never gotten into the Crysis games for whatever reason. Like many of you, I didn’t have a PC beefy enough to play the original, even though I always wanted to. With that said, a console-ported sequel lacked the appeal that had me interested in the first place. And here we are again… hey, bow and arrows are so very in right now!
Perhaps you heard the lads on Cheap Popcast discussing the glorious experience that was watching the 2013 Royal Rumble? 30 men enter… and yeah, technically they all eventually leave, but one of ’em gets to go to Wrestlemania! Anyhoo, this was strangely -no shit- the most fun I’ve had watching television in 2013 so far. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t know shit about post-1997 WWE and hates sports.
A lot of websites don’t have the fucking balls to mention Etrian Odyssey, but not Laser Time! We are in no way deterred nor intimidated by having no idea what what Etrian Odyssey is, so we’re giving the fourth iteration it’s due, if only to make money off it’s direct sale. I’m not saying we’re heroes, but…
Top Gun 3D
The late Tony Scott’s gay opus they way it was meant to be enjoyed: On an Ikea futon wearing plastic glasses!
If you’re like me, maybe this isn’t your favorite Pixar film, but you’re still going to need to buy and watch it in order to keep up with the intricacies woven in the follow-up, Monsters University. Oh wait… that’s a prequel? Nevermind. But I am fairly certain it’s required by law that everyone who can read watch each new Pixar movie, usually the only animated movie people see all year. How else can you explain the mediocre Brave besting the outrageously fantastic Wreck-It Ralph at the Oscars this year?
I’d say these title are getting confusing, but if you buy the 360 verious thinking you can shove the disc into you Vita, or vice versa, you deserve to be eternally confounded and swindled out of your money. I’ve only just downloaded the first game (FREE for PlayStation Plus subscribers) so I’ll check that out and consider further purchases
Look, no one likes to talk about it anymore, but you know you bought this and you know you’re still playing it. It may not be the “hip” thing to admit in gaming, but you strode past numerous other games and new IPs that could’ve used your support and purchased Call of Duty like you’ve done for the last seven years. So, given that you’re a fan of paying for full priced expansion packs, here’s your ticket to even more maps to “Frag out” and “Stay Frosty” upon! The only difference between this and everything you’ve purchased already is that you can now support Laser Time by purchasing through Amazon!
