Avengers: Age of Ultron – 1995 trailer

If Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked two decades early…

1995. The direct-to-video Captain America movie is a distant memory. The Marvel Cinematic Universe wouldn’t truly begin until the next millenium with Fox’s X-Men. There’s Blade movie in there, as well as a famously unreleased Fantastic Four film, but my point is the 1990s were not a great time for Marvel movies. But this video from Vulture ponders what if that weren’t the case, and it’s nothing short of glorious to hear the baritoned voice of Don LaFontaine narrating a goddamned Avengers trailer in this wonderful piece of revisionist history!

I’ve been more than satisfied with the Age of Ultron trailers thus far, I didn’t even bother posting the new one we saw before Fast & Furious 7 because it’s almost overkill. And with the release of Avengers 2 so damned close, I’d even argue that this hypothetical trailer emboldened my ass with considerably more warm n’ fuzzies than anything official could at this point. That old school blue Disney logo! That tall Demolition Man block font! Floppy disk drives!! And man, what trailer is that narration ripped from?! It’s on the tip of my dorky tongue… Terminator? Let me know in the comments!
