Set Aside 8 Minutes and Learn Why Chuck Jones is a Badass

A wonderful, short visual lesson on how Chuck Jones became a Looney Legend…

I could spout off my cartoon hipster all day about other Looney Tune directors I might like more, or think are funnier than Chuck Jones, but the reality is among the Termite Terrace crew, his timing, technique and visual style probably make him more influential than just about any animator the world has ever known. Whatever, I can’t really talk right now because I’m going through every other video posted on the Every Frame a Painting‘s YouTube account because this kind of stuff that makes my life worth living. HIT PLAY!

Thanks to everyone who brought this to my attention.

  2. Thanks for bringing this to OUR attention!

By the way, your link to the channel in question isn’t working at the moment.

  3. I’m glad that I picked up that Looney Tunes: Golden Collection 1-6 set that was on sale on Amazon (which I believe Chris tweeted about on the Laser Time twitter). Thanks to that sale, I have all the Looney Tunes that I need for the rest of my life.

  4. Chuck Jones is awesome and I still think that the classic WB animation is better than most animation that gets done these days. I have the Looney Tunes Golden Collection and I will occasional watch a chunk of them.

  5. Yeah the rest of the Every Frame a Painting series is really good, especially loved the Satoshi Kon, Jackie Chan and oddly enough the Michael Bay eps. Breaking down what Bayhem is and why he is the best at it (irregardless if it your particular flavour of film).
