The game isn’t out yet, but the next big wrasslin’ title is already recreating PPV main events…
It’s the only game in town, but that doesn’t mean the devs aren’t hard at work on WWE 2K16. The game boasts having a roster of over 100 wrestlers, even more investment in NXT stars, and fancy current gen graphics, so the people behind the game are working hard. But that doesn’t mean they don’t ALSO set aside time to simulate upcoming main events, which is exactly what they did with Night of Champion’s Seth Rollins vs. Sting for the WWE Championship. Check it out.
I suppose we’ll see how right they are on Sunday, but it’s hard to argue with the most up-to-date versions of those two. Sure, you or I could sim this same match in WWE 2K15, but we’d have The Shield version of Rollins facing the late ’90s WCW era Sting. I mean, at that point the whole of sports entertainment may as well be fake!
The 2K devs have been uploading a lot of interesting footage to their YouTube page, showing off real gameplay of the many new and returning stars. Should you ever want to see D’Lo Brown in-game or Barrett vs. R-Truth, it’s all in the feed. My personal favorite involves 2K’s first ever iteration of Hideo Itami. He looks great in motion and SPOILERS he actually does his GTS finisher. That’s enough to warrant a pre-order right there!
The game is out October 27, and if you want to pre-order it, pick up WWE 2K16 on Amazon to support Laser Time at no extra cost!
