See Legend Of Zelda: Triforce Heroes’ Lovely Theme Played Live

Colbert is doing his best to uphold his nerd cred on his new series…

A new Zelda game is nearly here, and while a Wii U-exclusive adventure seems to be slipping farther and farther away, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes shouldn’t be taken lightly. The multiplayer, co-op focused adventure is hitting North American shores this week, and Nintendo released a pretty snazzy promotional video today. Instead of the usual gameplay or cutscenes, this trailer shines a spotlight on one of Zelda’s strongest qualities: the music.

Who would’ve thought an accordian could sound so magical? Seriously, that Tri Force Heroes theme is quite the unique addition to Zelda’s musical canon, while still keeping the same feel as the rest of the series. And we at Laser Time know our Zelda music. I’d say we know it at least as well as Stephen Colbert.

  1. That is a massively cool theme. One of the Zelda series’ best I’d say, and that’s high praise. Still ain’t gonna get the game, but still!

  2. I think its a great idea that nintendo has an official zelda orchestra that goes on tour for every new zelda game, i’m extremely excited to see this live next month because we almost never get video game orchestras in my city. I love the music and have listened to the 25th anniversary cd over a dozen times and and the even the smash bros remixes were masterpieces. it’s time to grab my 3ds and take it with me to the event to take advantage of that street pass.
