  1. Henry Henry Henry… Vince doesn’t hate TNA he just doesn’t give a flying rats ass about TNA. And he shouldn’t. I mean TNA has never come close to overtaking or even regularly competing with WWE so why should he waste any time hating TNA. Its like me hating that ant across the street. The only reason they weren’t hiring TNA people for a period was a legal issue that I forget the details about but I think it involved Ric Flair or something.

anyway: Henry and Swagger because you guys convinced me that having Mark Henry in the match makes more sense
Usos because I’m going out on a limb but I think the New Day will be perusing singles glory as a group. To freshen up the act a bit
    Becky Lynch
    Ambrose
and now the Rumble match I can’t see the rumoured HHH winning makes no sense. He’ll have a match with Reigns at Mania (hopefully to end the Authority for more then 5 weeks.)) but now that the Rumble is for the title that Reigns holds HHH just has to cost Reigns the title to set up the match. As Bret kinda alluded to with his pick’s logic you add the title to someone else and you get 3 matches with drawing power. Lesnar vs ???, Reigns vs HHH and champ vs someone else. Sure its not gangbusters but every bit helps with 100k seats to fill. Who that is idk so Jericho seems as good as any. Maybe DB, Maybe the Undertaker

    1. Forgot the QOTW: 1992 Rumble. not even 5 year old me watching it scrambled on my grandparents TV. Its the first vivid wrestling memory I have that Ric Flair promo and who can forget the famous quote “Put out that cigarette” . Who is Mean Gene talking to? Why is he bothered so much by that cigarette to stop be distracted that much by it? Is he concerned about 2nd hand smoke or is it just a non smoking section and he’s a stickler for the rules? I need answers.

  2. QOTW: Anytime Kofi Kingston saved himself from elimination. Every year it gets more creative. My personal favourite happened last year when the Rosebuds caught Kofi and carried him back into the ring. Sadly it was overlooked since every smark called the WORST RUMBLE EVER!Fuck those people, I enjoyed it.

    PREDICTIONS:
    -Dudley Boyz
    -Charlotte
-Del Rio in a screwy fashion
-Ambrose so Owens can fight Lesnar.
-HHH wins the Rumble at 62:22

    Theme: John Morrison’s theme. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcdUlg_tTvk

  3. In addition to those stated in the episode, s’more predictions I’d like to throw out as pure fantasy:

-Sting’s injuries were something of a work and he’s the surprise #30. He wins the rumble (least amount of actual physical work to get the title) and is able to then retire as a 1-time champ.

-HBK is also a surprise entrant and tosses Taker over. Says he’s returned ONLY because Taker refuses to go down, and if no one else is going to retire him, then HBK will.

  4. QOTW: I didn’t watch it live, only on network but Mysterio’s run was great in 06 (?). Mysterio has always been one of my favorites.

    Predictions!:
    Dudley Boyz
    Charlotte
Del Rio with interference against Kalisto
Owens defeats Ambrose (he isn’t much of a prize fighter if he keeps losing)
Lesnar wins the rumble at 65:15.

Theme song: NWO Wolfpack baby. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYwXUxgszF0

  5. Royal Rumble is my favorite PPV every year. The Rumble Match is so fun and unpredictable. One of my favorite moments was in the 2005 Rumble when Eddie Guerrero stole Ric Flair’s number backstage. It was the Master of Lie, Cheat & Steal vs The Dirtiest Player in the Game.

  6. Another favorite Rumble memory is Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit at the 2003 Rumble. It is my favorite match of all time.

  7. 1 – THE DUDLEY BOYZ
    2 – THE NEW DAY
    3 – BECKY LYNCH
    4 – ALBERTO DEL RIO
    5 – DEAN AMBROSE
    6 – ROMAN RIEGNS (63:00mins)

  8. Okay, the event has started! No more predictions…

Though you can still comment with your favorite Rumble memory and we’ll read the best ones on the next Cheap Popcast!

  9. Before tonight, my favorite moment was CM Punk’s promo run in the 2010 rumble. It was what made me a fan of his. But now it has to be A.J. Styles’ debut this year. As backstory, I wasn’t into wrestling until I caught an X-Division match while channel surfing. From 2006-09 I was a huge TNA fan (pause for eye-rolling, Loser town/Jobber-ville comments, etc.) and Styles was my favorite wrestler. While I read the dirt sheets and knew it was coming, to actually see my favorite wrestler walk out on a WWE stage made me squeal so loud my roommate asked if I was okay.
