Lego Star Wars Force Awakens’ Gameplay Trailer – X Wing Fights & Lego Old Han!

A new trailer for this summer’s Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens has released, showing new features inspired by Lego Dimensions, and closer looks at Lego-fied versions of old Han, Poe Dameron, and Captain Phasma!

Even with the Lego Dimensions juggernaut launching last year, the standard single-IP Lego games still release like clockwork. Almost 11 years to the day since the release of the original Lego Star Wars (which released in March of 2005), we have a new trailer for this summer’s Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Check it out!

As someone who has put plenty of time into last year’s Lego crop (Dimensions and Jurassic World), it’s nice to see what Lego Force Awakens is improving upon from those titles. Dimensions’ vehicle creation has seemingly been adapted into the “choose your item” stations (without tedious item building and figure moving) and the combat has a few neat tweaks like cover and improved vehicles (spaceships > dinosaurs). The fact that it will fill in plenty of the gaps left in Force Awakens like the giant creature on the Millennium Falcon and Poe Dameron’s whereabouts for the entire film is the icing on this fanservice cake.

What do you think of LSWTFA? How do you think the game will make the Rylo Ken-Han Solo scene funny? Let us know in the comments below and watch some of our cameo-tastic Lego adventures below!
