  1. Loved this episode, what a trip down memory lane. I remember looking forward to all the E3 Talkradars back in the day and I can’t wait for Vidjagame Apocalypse this week.

  2. Time to come in and talk about sports.

First, I’m surprised Dave didn’t grab LeBron’s “The Decision.” It set the sports world on fire and is probably the biggest press event in sports history.

On Iverson- he did go to practice, he just had a habit of being late. He wasn’t saying it wasn’t important, he was saying that the game he literally just played was more important. The reporter was trying to stir the pot in a very emotional moment, and Iverson was having none of it. He had also just recently heard of the death of a close friend, and so he had even less patience for that media bullshit.

Again Chris shows that he doesn’t understand sports, but it’s to be expected. It’s not about watching super mutants. That’s why most sports fans are against steroid use– because we actually care about athletes and don’t want them to jeopardize their health any more than they already do. A lot of fandom is emotional. In a world where everyone is jaded and looking to hate everything, I get to feel genuine joy every time I see my team play. It’s also largely about stats. Stats provide quantifiable evidence of superiority, and isn’t that what all nerds are looking for?

    1. I don’t know who you are, but I’d like to shake your hand. You hit the nail on the head.

    2. Very good points. Sometimes the crew gets carried away talking about things they don’t comprehend while trying to make humor out of it.

  3. Duders I love Clinton but it’s NOT okay for someone with that much power to have sex with someone who works for them especially an intern I love the idea of seducing a gorgeous woman with power it’s okay for the “lesser” person to make all the moves but when the authority succumbs they’re wrong even if the other person wanted it. Also Bill Clinton has A TON of sexual red flags dating back way before this, dude has a rep and the Lewinsky thing was par for the course which is likely why he did it. Like come youse guys are quick to shame any dude who commits even a slight faux pas you can’t give a pass to Clinton(like youse guys give a pass to Bryan Singer and Kevin Clash) just because he’s your guy that makes you no better than the wackados that give a pass to the accuse star athletes wrong is wrong and Clinton was 100% wrong for banging an intern when he’s the PRESIDENT of the United States, to this day I have no respect for him or Hilary for standing by him despite the major success he brought our country.

  4. This episode was fantastic. I’ve spent the past hour trying to track these conferences down to watch them online.

I also love hearing you guys talk about the Wii/360/PS3 era E3’s. I remember Brett being mad at that Nintendo conference on Talkradar back in ’09

  5. When was the Sean white snowboarding game for wii demonstration because that’s when I like Brett had my existential gamer moment where I was like do I like games anymore?
