While Undertale ended up with VGMpire’s 2015 AOTY award, Splatoon was so goddamn close. It did, however, get a whole episode earlier this year and I encourage you to listen to the whole thing one hundred times.

While the OST does an exceptional job of conveying the game’s Nickelodeon-meets-Jet Set Radio aesthetic, you can really drown yourself in the frenetic fun by watching this “live” concert starring the Squid Sisters (Callie & Marie GET IT) – it’s infectious af and a great example of why the entire scene around Splatoon is the best thing the Wii U ever did.

Seriously, it’s well worth grabbing the OST or an Amiibo or SOMEthing from the Splat-verse… support Nintendo actually making (and supporting) new IP!
