God bless those pagans.
It may be a clip show, but that April Fool’s day framing device is gold. The beer going off like a nuclear bomb and Wiggum running towards it like a dog are forever burned into my brain.
Hey, I think Chris was referencing my comment about a VGA that had some reused material. I was indeed referencing this Simpsons title in my comment.
The best clip shows I can think of are the Seinfeld ones, that have no real framing devices, just good jokes you remember from all over the series. I think the Laser Time clip shows have been like that, for the most part, just the funny parts we want to hear again.
I swear that this episode and “Marge Be Not Proud” were the two episodes that aired the most in syndication back when I was in high school. I wasn’t able to watch daily, due to after-school activities and my mom’s changing work schedule, but I remember multiple instances of me groaning when I was able to turn on the TV and saw that it was one of these two episodes.
just dont do a clip show of talking simpsons….please?
This reminds me of that episode the Next Generation where Riker had that brain disease and he could only be cured if he remembers what happened in the first and second seasons. Glad you also took up that burden guys!
For the next clip show, just cut together clips of all the relevant bits from previous Talking Simpsons episodes, right?
Glad to hear the waffle line in there, even if it was broken into two parts. One of my favourite lines form the Simpsons.

That was mean Bob…. heheheheh.
The extra animation from Springfield Gorge is something I noticed as a kid (8 yo) and it was nearly impossible to prove it to my older brother as we didn’t record the episodes etc. It may be one of the things that cemented me as a real ‘Simpsons Nerd’ remembering way to much trivia beyond just quoting the show.
yay. This episode seems very appropriate today as I go through the talking simpsons eps.
love ya’ guys!
