  1. Wow what a cawinkiedink What A Cartoon happens to be the name of a Cartoon Network pilot audition thingy from the mid 90’s so weird that youse guys happen to name your business that.

  2. This was an excellent episode to mark the start of a new series (both in terms of the show, and the podcast itself).

This episode is not only a great introduction to B:TAS as you guys said, but it’s also such a good primer for the character and world of Batman in general. As you guys mentioned, it gets across Batman’s complex and interesting morality immediately, the shades of grey most of his villains operate in, and how Batman is a great detective who will fight but does not kill.

At some point I’d love for you guys to cover the other appearance of Freeze in the TAS format (the ep is basically Bioshock), as well as his creepy spider robot from the New Adventures, Subzero, and his Beyond episode. They make a fantastic arc that’s pretty much the best (and most depressing) Mr. Freeze story you could ever tell.

  3. I really enjoyed listening to this episode. You guys covered a lot of ground about both the main topic and the relevant supplementary information while still being pretty amusing. Can’t wait for the next one.

PS: I think the biggest problem with the newer DC animated productions is in the writing department. They will occasionally do something decent on that front, to be fair, but too many of the newer ones have that flaw. Fix that and I can deal with the animation not being super great these days.

  4. If you guys are looking for suggestions on what cartoon to do a deep dive, I’d Love to hear your take on Dungeons and Dragons. I used to wake up super early on Saturday mornings just to catch this show. Plus the urban legend of the unseen finale would make for great talking points. Love your podcasts! Keep it up! We need these podcasts to get us through this Smarch weather. -Jose
