  1. There is a possible bear attack movie, because it is about mutant bears, called the Prophecy from … 1979? It stars Rocky’s wife and includes a boy being exploded in his sleeping bag.

  2. Grizzly (1976) – It’s not a great movie, but has a terrifying scene where the bear buries a guy under leaves, only wounded, and he wakes up and tries to struggle free just as the bear comes back.

  3. There are a number of cool (and not so cool) movies that could have made the list. As for “bear” movies, the one I thought would have made the list would have been a 70’s movie called “Grizzly”. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074593/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2

As for spider movies, I would have mentioned:
Kingdom of The Spiders (featuring none other than THE William Shatner) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076271/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Eight Legged Freaks (w/David Arquette) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0271367/?ref_=nv_sr_1

  4. Are you kidding me? You do a whole episode about animals attacking and not one of you mentions the BEST animal attack movie of all time, The Ghost and the Darkness? Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas teaming up to take on the most notorious real life maneaters of all time! Absolutely shameful.

  5. When you guys were bringing up spiders I thought for sure it was leading to my immediate thought when I think of killer animal movies: Eight Legged Freaks.
I haven’t seen it in probably a decade but it was on TV all the time on Spike or something in the mid-2000s and I always loved watching it wherever in the movie I managed to catch it.

  6. Fun fact since I’ve heard Chris being up bears in the jungle book before. There are bears in the jungle in India, where the book and movies are based.

  7. In addition to The Prophecy mentioned above, there is also Grizzly in 1976, one of the many films attempting to capitalize off of the success of Jaws. Grizzly spawned a sequel in 1983 called Grizzly II: The Concert that featured John Rhys-Davies, Laura Dern, George Clooney, and Charlie Sheen, but the Hungarian government seized the film after production never paid for the equipment. The film was about a grizzly retaliating against poachers by attacking a concert goers at a Woodstock-like event being held in a national park. It was purchased by Cannon with the intent to complete post-production, but the company’s financial trouble prevented this from happening. A workprint is available online.

  8. aside from the hybrid gray gorillas theres a dang hippo attack in congo and a pretty good scene with a normal ass silverback gorilla. both pretty good animal attack scenes. also ernie hudson is the f’n man in congo. he’s the great white hunter who happens to be black. i mean i can go on about congo for days. its got very memorable scenes for a not-good movie

  9. I came here specifically to bring up The prophecy as a bear attack movie and was glad to see others had already mentioned it. That sleeping bag kill scene will stay with me forever because it’s freaking hilarious. Also there are bears in india. Bears are not a cold climate animal only.
