  1. I need Chris to put more respect on Scooby Doo Mysteries Incorporated. That show was a large departure from the Scooby Doo formula and was a lot of fun.

  2. Hello again! Your friendly neighborhood kids’ horror enthusiast is back to talk about two things today. The first is my usual business, Are You Afraid of the Dark and it’s fourth episode of its seventh season: The Tale of the Lunar Locusts. This is a really meh episode that focuses on a teenager being stalked by an alien played by ice skater Tara Lipinski that is trying to get a ring for mysterious reasons. It’s not one of the better episodes but hey, it was there. I have better things to say about Twin Peaks however. I just finished watching the series for the first time and had an excellent time watching through. The second season was a hard watch but I got there. It was an interesting series but I’m not sure I’d ever sit down to watch it again until later.

  3. Earnest Goes to Jail. POLL: What is your favorite Earnest film? Ernest Goes to Camp Ernest Saves Christmas Ernest Goes to Jail Ernest Scared Stupid
Twin Peaks. What are some other films or tv shows where you “Stop trying to figure this out and just let it wash over you.” ?
RE: Twin Peaks and pie and coffee. What fims or tv shows make you crave food or drink? For me personally I can no longer watch The Big Lebowski without drinking a White Russian.
100 millionth Gameboy sold. What year did you stop playing the Gameboy on a regular basis?
Don Quixote. I’ve always had a soft spot for this cheesy tv-movie to tell the truth. What tv-movie do you have the fondest memories for?
This is the very first SNL skit I ever saw on the internet as opposed to on the show; I remember people instantly talking about this and quoting this and I ended up getting a video clip of it, which was still kind of hard in 2000.
Sopranos. What was your favorite season ending for the Sopranos?
Telephone. It’s a good music video, but I’m pretty sure they had “silent” mode in 2010 so the central drama of the song is kind of week .
Date Night has been on Chris’ backlog to watch for 10 years. What’s a film that’s been on your backlog for the longest time?
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. Is, without a doubt, the very best version of Scooby Doo that has ever been made. It’s got better writing, better characterization, better jokes, and an overarching plot.
Adventure Time. “I have only watched this high.” Are there any media that you have only consumed while high?

  4. Scooby Doo Mystery Inc was amazing. The closest thing I can compare it to is Gravity Falls. It’s wasn’t an old style cartoon giving way to the new Adventure Time. It was a very modern cartoon that was hilarious too.

Ugly Betty was a very important show to me. It was one of the first major network shows with a transgender main character. Most trans characters on TV are either “very special episode” characters or dead sex workers on SVU. On Ugly Betty, the character Alexis began the show as a villain, but her gender wasn’t part of that villainy. And talking about the show gave me a way to talk to my family about how I felt through the thin veneer of fiction (“She’s happy because her body finally matches who she is inside.”)

  5. <3 thank you for the shoutout
