FINALLY: Laser Time is a Comic

Or at least it’s theme song anyway…
Today being a day for the Giving of Thanks, we wanted to take a moment to thank you guys. You’re still hanging with us, listening to the shows, commenting on the site, hanging in the forums and many of you even donated to the cause via our Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. commentaries/pledge drive (only TWO DAYS left to get those free with your donation!)

Sorry to be all mushy, but we simply don’t take enough time thank you guys here on the website. And that sadly includes posting shit you make for us. Let’s amend that a little… and what better way to start than this amazing little comic that popped on Reilly Hadden’s website (submitted via Twitter)

Wow… There’s a zero percent chance that anyone in the world is gonna get that if they haven’t listened to Laser Time, and I’ll bet there are even a couple of you scratching your heads right now. In case you didn’t know, Laser Time’s opening theme is from the NES Silver Surfer game, which contains far better music than such an abysmal product deserves composed by Tim and Geoff Follin (you’d probably know that if you listened to VGMpire!)

And if we’re taking a moment to showcase amazing pieces of Laser Time comic art, we;d be remiss if we didn’t post another one. You simply must see the Cape Crisis piece made by Scott Van Dusen and submitted via Twitter a couple of weeks ago.

Even if you don’t listen to Cape Crisis (which BTW, makes you a complete jerkass jerk) there’s so many things to love in that mock comic cover, chief among them for me being that 80s comic header bar, Brett’s Triforce Black Spidey costume, and that stellar caricature of Cheap Popcast‘s Dave Rudden!!! Oh, how I could go on…

No more plugs, just seriously wanted to thank all of you guys, and can’t wait to interact more over the Holiday break.

  1. This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for the entire LT crew’s passion for podcasting and providing us with hours of entertainment every week <3
Thanks Chris, you mean more to us than you know

  2. Thanksgiving was a while ago for Canadians, but I’m always thankful for the Laser Time crew.
But not just Laser Time, but all of you as individuals that have been entertaining me since 2008 in one form or another.

  3. Wow. Is that just a reflexion, or does Brett have his old pink anime hair highlights in that picture?

Also, is it too dorky of me to point out that you signed the Compendinarium foreword with “Fart, TalkRadar”?

    Love you guys. LT forever.
