Where do wrestlers go when they die? This funny and endearing Fox ADHD short posits that your favorite dead grapplers live together on a beach. Watch it and share in the laughter and love!
In an Adult Swim world, Fox’s ADHD after-hours alternative cartoon block doesn’t get enough respect. Sure, the likes of Axe Cop and Golan the Insatiable are rarely mentioned in the same breath as Steven Universe, Rick and Morty, and The Venture Brothers, but one area where ADHD excels above most other cartoon creators are great YouTube-sized tunes. We’ve been enjoying their twisted takes on old cartoons with the “Scientifically Accurate” series for years, but it turns out they’ve got some pro wrestling fans making sweet shorts too, as “Dead Wrestler Beach” showcases:
It’s almost surprising that a thorough listing of the many wrestlers who took years off of their lives to entertain fans is as sweet as it is funny. Sure, we’ll chuckle at [REDACTED] making people uncomfortable and the sheer amount of Von Erichs being represented, but it’s nice to know these brothers and sisters of the ring are together again, somewhere…
Sure, there’s a few late grapplers of the mid-2000s missing (Lance Cade and Sean O’Haire), some of the characters like Andre the Giant and Miss Elizabeth are strangely buff, and one of my personal favorite wrestlers is inexplicably missing (Crash Holly), but the listing of 30-plus wrestlers who have died in the last 30 years is pretty staggering and very up-to-date considering that Dusty Rhodes and Roddy Piper made the cut (read our Roddy Piper tribute for more on the late Hot Rod).
What do you think of this video? Are there any other dead wrestlers you wished had made the cut?
