With Mikel on vacation, the gang recruits former Nintendo Power editor Chris Hoffman (of the Nintendo-focused Power Pros podcast) to talk about the coolest characters to emerge from the ground. Once we reach the surface, we discuss XCOM 2, Gravity Rush on PS4, the latest console and game sales figures, games we could play for eternity, and much more!
Question of the Week
If you could only play one game “Groundhog Day” style (restarting every day but remembering what you played), what would it be, and why?

This hypothetical question of the week is actually my life as someone who tests games.
QOTW: After watching AGDQ, I would probably pick Dark Souls 2 just to be able to beat the game in a day. My game clock was well over 100 hours, and seeing it done in under 3 hours makes me sad.
QOTW: I’d play Tetris. It is a very easy game to master so I’d be able to be a Tetris master in a matter of weeks so I could save the rest of that hellish existence for having sex with everyone, robbing all banks (including blood), and practicing weird solo sex acts I’ve been too timid to attempt. Oh and Titty Towel Head was a Mikel creation on Tdar 148 according to the wiki.
mhm I love the adventures of baron munchausen!
I love a lot of Terry Gilliam’s films. I was having a mini Gilliam marathon because Time Bandits is my absolute fav! X3 so good.
Hoff’s voice is strikingly similar to the not-Cookie host of Quiplash.
As long as I’m allowed to play against other people, I’d pick Street Fighter. Everyone else stays the same and I keep getting better and better.
I can’t BELIEVE that, upon choosing a Zelda character that emerges from the ground, you went with the freaking Deku Srub instead of series regular, the Leever!
Anyway, while I’m sad they’re not making anymore Smash 4 DLC, I’m pretty confident that the reason they’re stopping is because they are already starting work on the NX version of Smash.
Easy. Any Monster Hunter title for PSP forward. That’s the perfect game for it.
Qotw – rocksmith. Murray learned that piano, imma learn to shred!!!
So, Henry’s definition of nudity seems to begin at “scantily clad.” This just stood out to me since it came up twice in this episode (with Bayonetta and Hyperdimension Neptunia). I loved Chris’s reference to “‘Uma Thurman in The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen’ nudity.”
Dave’s voice during the “Raccoon Break” sounds a lot like Rick. Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!
QotW – If I had to “Groundhog Day” a game it would have to be Bloodborne. It’s short enough it can easily be beaten in a day but the seemingly never ending NG+ modes would keep it somewhat challenging.
