A Tribute to Product Placement!

FUN FACT: Adam Sandler’s never been in a commercial… Unless you count his movies! When last we looked at Product Placements in Animated Movies, it was only slightly surprising Adam Sandler took the #1 spot. Not because you didn’t presume Adam Sandler would top any category in the field Product Placement. You’re smart people; let’s give credit where credit’s due. Nay, it’s because it’s far more likely you forgot Adam Sandler made an animated “Christmas” movie, and even though I had nothing to do with it, I feel a tremendous sense of guilt every time I bring it up. Whatevs, see what I’m talking about in the video below and let’s hold each other like our lives depended on it.

Anyhoo, Happy Madison, Sandler’s production company, has been tailoring scripts to hock all manner of product at an unwitting, largely undemanding, viewing public for so long, many of you weren’t born when it all started. The practice has certainly had its cute moments, however, it’s gotten alarming more crass the longer time has gone on. Once again, if you’ve read this far you’re doing it wrong! We made a video just to show you everything I’m yammering about. And before you point out the irony, yes, I’m aware we made a video seemingly condemning product placement just to promote ourselves. But if I may take the wind out of the sails on your good ship SS Internet Anger further still, even though watching Jack and Jill and two Grown Ups movies almost made me go insane, this video made me realize how many Sandler movies I genuinely love.
