Collecting Comics – Vidjagame Apocalypse 383

Do you like collecting comics? Do you enjoy videogames? Do you insist that those two hobbies be about each other? Fiiine. With Marvel’s Avengers out this week, let’s grab PNB’s TL Foster for a look at five games that used comic books as collectibles, after which we’ll jump into Avengers, Vader Immortal, Madden NFL 21, Gamescom reveals, NVIDIA’s new 30 series, and the toy lines you think deserve their own videogames.

Question of the Week: Which comics franchise (current or defunct) most deserves its own videogame?

  1. can’t wait till next week’s ep when you dive into the Mario 35 direct. Those crazy rumors from earlier in the year turned out to be mostly true. But that G&@: SMB edition….nintendo better make enough…I’m not about to wait in line all over again…not in post COVID world

  2. QotW: I would want a Hellboy game that is actually good. A Metroidvania would be perfect for the character and his world. Playable Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman or Roger the Homonculous would also be neat.

  3. QotW: This is absolutely the best answer. Django/Zorro. The fact that this series exists is pretty insane but god damn is it the best thing in the world. Django after Candyland has fled west and is trying to make a living out West. Zorro is much older but still refuses to pick up a gun using sword and whip in the 1860s west the two team up to take down evil white guys enslaving Native Americans. Basically, it could be Red Dead Redemption but with characters that are out and out heroes, not anti-heroes. Also the comic came with suggested music to listen to while reading, because Tarantino…

I wish there was more of this.
