  1. I really hate being “that person.” But, JK Rowling is a hateful TERFs and Harry Potter always needs to mentioned with that asterisk. And the podcast had already demonstrated how to do this during the earlier discussion about Michael Jackson.

    When Chris said purchasing Michael Jackson’s music funds a pedophile ring, I hoped something similar would be said about JK Rowling. When you purchase Harry Potter stuff, it funds the most well known TERF in the world. That merch funds pushing the belief that people like me shouldn’t have equal rights and shouldn’t exist.

    I also stood in line at midnight for the new books. I have great memories of things like how I felt when Pottermore sorted me into Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw like I had assumed. Blah blah, separating the art from the artist and all that.

    My point is that Harry Potter absolutely needs that asterisk, like Michael Jackson. Other than that, I love the show. I’ve been listening for years. Trans rights are human rights.
